#GiveTogether - Pandemic Relief
Published: June 2, 2020
As a way to give back to our local communities during this time, we were privileged to provide assistance in various ways. Please view the stories below. It is our hope that now more than ever we unite and continue to #GiveTogether.
Coosa Valley Nursing Home
Our Call Center donated bird and hummingbird feeders, hooks and food to the Coosa Valley Nursing Home in Glencoe. These feeders were placed outside residents' windows so they could be enjoyed during this quarantine.
Food Distribution
In an effort to help feed children in our community who may not have access to regular meals, ATCU has partnered with several businesses, individuals, and ministries to distribute food. Distribution takes place Wednesdays from 2pm until 2:30pm at First Baptist Church of Gadsden until further notice. A huge thank you to all those involved in making this possible including Johnson’s Giant Foods, Council Member Kent Back, and First Baptist Church of Gadsden.
Missions Center Donations
ATCU volunteers provided enough food for 200 bags for those in need at the Etowah Baptist Missions Center. If you find yourself in need of basic necessities, please contact Etowah Baptist Missions Center.
Holy Comforter / First Responder Lunch
It was our privilege to treat the residents of the Holy Comforter as well as local first responders to lunch. The C & J's Crab Shack & Bar food truck served delicious gumbo, popcorn shrimp, and chicken finger baskets. C&J’s Crab Shack is a family owned and operated seafood restaurant that is offering carry-out specials for your convenience. Check them out and tell them ATCU sent you!
Free Pizzas!
Our Anniston Branch was blessed to be able to give members gift certificates to Cutter's Pizzeria and Wings. Cutter’s Pizzeria is a family owned and operated local business in Alexandria, AL that we definitely encourage that you visit.
Drive Thru Gift Certificates
Members were given gift certificates to Harp & Clover in our Gadsden Drive Thru. We know the food was enjoyed by all and we were happy to support a local restaurant.
We Will Get Through This Together.
