Alabama Teachers Credit Union Privacy Notice and Disclosure
Alabama Teachers Credit Union's purpose is to provide you with excellent member service combined with competitive products and services, while protecting our members' privacy. To insure your financial privacy we:
- Do not sell member lists.
- Collect, retain, and use information about you only when we believe it necessary to transact business or provide products and services of benefit to you.
- Share information only with subsidiaries, affiliates, and companies that assist us in offering services.
- Maintain secure and accurate information.
- Honor all applicable privacy laws.
We are required to give you this privacy notice describing our practices concerning shared information made available to other sources.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
We collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates, or others; and
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
- Information we may obtain from consumer purchasing and census data providers to develop competitive marketing programs.

INFORMATION WE MAY DISCLOSE ABOUT YOU TO APPROPRIATE SOURCES
Although it is acceptable, Alabama Teachers Credit Union seldom shares information with outside organizations. However, we are allowed to...
- Share information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, and income;
- Share information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or other, such as your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage;
- Share information we receive from a consumer reporting agency such as your credit worthiness and credit history.

PARTIES WHO RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM US
We may disclose all of the information about our members and former members, as described above, but only as permitted by law. This would include information to data processors, IRA service suppliers, check printers, collection companies, collateral protection insurers, consumer reporting agencies, auditors, credit union service organizations, law enforcement agencies and other non-affiliated third parties.

Again, it is not customary for ATCU to share non-public personal information except with service providers such as those listed above.

However, we could at times provide information to other service providers such as marketing firms hired to promote ATCU services, insurance agents, mortgage service companies, security broker-dealers; also retailers, travel agencies and non-profit organizations.

This information is only made available to other third parties as permitted by law. You have the option of stopping certain disclosures to non-affiliated third parties if they are not necessary to transact business. See the section below for "OPT OUT" instructions.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information.

HOW TO OPT OUT OR STOP CERTAIN DISCLOSURES
If you prefer we do not disclose non-public personal information to non-affiliated third parties, meaning those parties that do not require such information to provide services to ATCU, you may opt out of those disclosures by directing us to not make such disclosures (other than those permitted by law). To exercise this right you must complete and return the form below.

Once your request is received, please allow a reasonable amount of time to stop disclosures.

Listed below are some suggestions for you, our member, to help insure your financial privacy.
- Protect account numbers, card numbers, and PINs (personal identification numbers), and passwords.
- Use caution when disclosing information to others.
- Keep information current.
